ACT 145 | Script Analysis for Film & TV Auditions

Instructor: Justin Rapp

The course gives students the skills necessary to break down film and television audition sides.  Every side, be it comedy or drama, has a certain formula we must decipher.  The casting directors have hand-picked these sides to see certain aspects of the characters.  Students will learn how to identify the "turns" in both comedies and dramas, how to identify with certain character elements which casting is looking for, and to marry the technical with the creative in crafting unique performances for film and television auditions.  The heart of the course will be script analysis with a smaller focus on how to craft unique performances while staying within form.
